While Jayden Huynh-Vuong W’25 was initially drawn to the University’s stellar reputation and excellent business curriculum, his Penn experience has been shaped by much more than his academic accomplishments. “I’ve met some of my best friends here, and cultivated a community that will support me for the rest of my life.”
Jayden finds connection on campus through his coursework as well as his extracurricular involvement. Through Penn Social Entrepreneurship Movement, he has consulted with local enterprises to help them develop and expand their social impact missions. In leading a project with a vegan Korean food company, he developed marketing strategies to help them launch new products and expand their presence in the retail space. “I was able to lead the team and truly help this small company incorporate their healthy, organic Korean food alternative into the market. It was a really rewarding experience.”
In addition to contributing his talents to existing organizations, Jayden also founded his own club: Penn Southeast Asian Circle. Through a combination of professional and cultural events, members introduce the Penn community to various Southeast Asian traditions, contribute to campus festivals, and offer consulting services for local Southeast Asian businesses and nonprofits. “Establishing this club has been such a great way to form connections and offer resources and programming that are helpful for my peers and the local community.”
Alumni philanthropy has empowered Jayden’s Penn experience in many ways. In supporting him through various internship opportunities, subsidizing programs abroad, and offering funding for summer housing, alumni gifts have allowed Jayden to access the fullness of life at the University. “Without the scholarships I’ve received, I wouldn’t have been able to come to Penn, pursue internships, or plan such a full schedule of programming with my clubs. Alumni philanthropy has made this whole academic journey possible and helped so many of my dreams come true.”
As he prepares for life after graduation, Jayden is equipped with the tools he needs to succeed on whatever path he chooses. “My experience at Penn has helped me to understand that success is holistic. While it’s important to pursue academic and professional achievements, it’s vital to safeguard our physical and mental health and wellness at the same time. The relationships I’ve formed at Penn have encouraged my growth in every way, and I’m so grateful to have this system of support for the rest of my life.”
