Since 1927, gifts to The Penn Fund—from undergraduate alumni and parents like you—have made a profound and immediate impact on all aspects of student life and learning at the University by providing grant-based financial aid packages to undergraduates, supporting enhancements to academic programs and campus technology, and fostering community through student clubs and organizations. This longstanding tradition of loyal generosity allows donors to support the University’s greatest needs and highest priorities through the general fund, long-term scholarship support, and special reunion class projects.

Lexi Caffrey W’10

Lexi Caffrey W’10, has built a career in business operations and finance at both Fortune 500 companies and burgeoning startups. She currently serves as Director of Operations at Upflex, the B2B SaaS platform for on-demand workspace that helps companies reduce office costs while increasing employee flexibility. As with most startups, this role pulls her in a lot of directions, but she is currently focusing much of her time on the recently announced strategic partnership with WeWork. Since graduating from Wharton in 2010, Lexi has built experience across government, media, e-commerce, investment management and tech, and prides herself on her ability to cut through the noise and offer solutions. Her career has taken her to three cities, but one constant has been her involvement with the Penn Fund.

Lexi began as a freshman student caller for the Penn Fund Calling Center, while juggling her Wharton studies and role as a coxswain on the Women’s Varsity Rowing team. In her sophomore year, she was promoted to shift manager at the Penn Fund Calling Center, while continuing to man the phones, raising more than $500k by the time she graduated. After graduation, she continued supporting the Penn Fund by serving on the Penn Fund Executive Board from 2012 – 2018. She also served as BFS chair during her fifth reunion and Chair of her tenth reunion.

When she’s not on a Zoom call or supporting Penn, you can find her at a Red Sox game with a Fenway Frank.
