Since 1927, gifts to The Penn Fund—from undergraduate alumni and parents like you—have made a profound and immediate impact on all aspects of student life and learning at the University by providing grant-based financial aid packages to undergraduates, supporting enhancements to academic programs and campus technology, and fostering community through student clubs and organizations. This longstanding tradition of loyal generosity allows donors to support the University’s greatest needs and highest priorities through the general fund, long-term scholarship support, and special reunion class projects.

Penn It Forward celebrates the generosity of undergraduate alumni donors and showcases the direct impact of their gifts on the overall student experience. Check out our events below!

Thank Penn Alumni: Tuesday, October 24 from 11:00am–2:00pm—Locust Walk

There are many things to be thankful for at the University, and undergraduate alumni are among them!

On Tuesday, October 24, join us on Locust Walk to thank undergraduate alumni donors who support current and future Quakers! Write a ‘thank you’ note and receive a Penn It Forward t-shirt and swag!

Dollars for Doers Community Service Project: Wednesday, October 25 from 12:00-2:00 pm-Andrew Hamilton School located at 5640 Spruce Street.

Penn It Forward’s Dollars for Doers! Every hour of volunteer service completed with The Netter Center from October 23–27 unlocks $10 from generous undergraduate alumni donors to benefit student life and learning through The Penn Fund!

Not a volunteer yet? Penn It Forward provides an exciting opportunity for students to volunteer this year. Join us for a fall garden clean-up at the Andrew Hamilton School in partnership with The Netter Center! There is a cap of 20 volunteers, and two-trip SEPTA passes can be provided.

Desserts with Donors: Wednesday, October 25 from 5:00-7:00pm—patio behind Sweeten Alumni House

Connect with Penn undergraduate alumni and learn more about philanthropy in action at the University! Our sweetest initiative will have you networking with alumni and provide an opportunity to advocate for the allocation of $500 to specific funds that benefit current Quakers.

Desserts with Donors: Wednesday, October 26 from 5:00–7:00pm—patio behind Sweeten Alumni House

Connect with Penn undergraduate alumni and learn more about philanthropy in action at the University! Our sweetest initiative will have you networking with alumni and provide an opportunity to advocate for the allocation of $500 to specific areas across campus that are most important to you. If your brief case for support is chosen, you may designate this generous gift to one of several select opportunitiesincluding some that benefit BIPOC students and communities and undergraduate financial aid.

Quaker Quizzo: Thursday, October 26 from 6:00-8:00 pm – College Green

Quaker Quizzo is a reimagined Oktoberfest, a favorite tradition of the senior class hosted by Seniors for The Penn Fund. This senior exclusive event is a great opportunity to celebrate your final year with your whole class, get a sneak peek on the exciting events to come, and learn how to make a lasting impact on the Quaker community. Come with all your friends to play trivia and grab a drink and food!
