Since 1927, gifts to The Penn Fund—from undergraduate alumni and parents like you—have made a profound and immediate impact on all aspects of student life and learning at the University by providing grant-based financial aid packages to undergraduates, supporting enhancements to academic programs and campus technology, and fostering community through student clubs and organizations. This longstanding tradition of loyal generosity allows donors to support the University’s greatest needs and highest priorities through the general fund, long-term scholarship support, and special reunion class projects.

Fiscal Year 2023 (July 1, 2022–June 30, 2023)

FY2023 Annual Impact Report

June 30 may have marked the end of another fiscal year, but once again, the collective impact of undergraduate alumni, parents, and graduating seniors has made a significant impression on the entire Quaker community. It was loyal support from The Penn Fund’s donors and volunteers that guided student success yet again this past academic year.

Most remarkably, for the fifth year in a row, thousands within our community joined forces to raise gifts totaling a record-breaking amount—almost $54 million that counted toward The Penn Fund in FY2023. Individual contributions from 20,605 undergraduate alumni and graduating seniors bolstered essential financial aid, enhanced academic programs and technology, and maintained residential and campus spaces that feel like home. Thank you very much to all who chose to honor the University with their philanthropy (again) this past academic year.

The entire Penn Fund team, including our amazing volunteers, is pleased to present the Annual Impact Report for Fiscal Year 2023.
